Sevilla (Seville) is Spain's fourth largest city and located in the central South of the country. It's the capital of the autonomous region of Andalusia. According to the legend, the city was founded by the Greek hero Hercules. The city is a centre of industry and trade as well as an important centre for tourism. Seville is located on both banks of the Guadalquivir on extensive and fertile lowlands. The city's panorama looks quite impressive due to its numerous towers and bridges.
How to get there?
By plane
Seville airport is the sixth busiest inland airport in Spain. It is the main international airport serving Western Andalusia in southern Spain, and neighbouring provinces. The airport has flight connections to 42 destinations around Europe and Northern Africa.
Seville Airport is capable of handling ten million passengers a year.
By Bus / train
The Seville Train Station (Sevilla Santa Justa) is the third-busiest station in Spain, servicing over 8 million travellers per year. It is located in the eastern part of Seville’s city centre and this contemporary station provides service to Cordoba, Malaga and Madrid via the AVE and RENFE trains.
By car
If you decide to come by road, Seville is about 100 kilometres from the beach in provinces such as Cadiz and Huelva, currently (May) this is a great time to visit as the temperatures are ideal. It is also just 1 hour and 45 minutes from Cordoba.
The roads linking Seville to these cities are fast roads, motorways and dual carriageways, all of which are free, and the journey time to the beach is approximately one hour.

Museums and attractions
When on a trip to Seville, you will see a diverse range of highlights, sights and tourist attractions. Such highlights and landmarks include the sightseeing of the historic city centre with Moorish influences, the royal palace Real Alcazar and the large cathedral with the Giralda tower. Must see: Alcazar of Seville
Alcázar Real de Sevilla' is the Royal Palace of Seville. This Moorish palace complex is by far the most famous Seville attraction. The Alcazar palace should not be missed during your city trip. Seville Cathedral & La Giralda
The 'Catedral de Santa María de la Sede' is one of the largest cathedrals in the world. The cathedral was built over the remnants of a Moorish mosque. The Giralda tower was once part of this mosque. Once in the cathedral, you can admire a treasure trove, the tomb of Columbus and the royal chapel. You can also climb the Giralda tower for a beautiful panorama of the city. Plaza de España - Spain square of Seville
The most famous square in Seville is located in the Maria Luisa park. The 'Plaza de España' was created for the Ibero-American exhibition of 1929 to symbolise peace with the former colonies. In the ranking of trendy restaurants where to eat in Seville in 2023, Casa del Tigre is probably at the top of the list.
This place with a curious history that begins as follows: "At one time, in this house lived a tiger..." has it all figured out: it is small but has several rooms and nooks and crannies that provoke different sensations, it has a very mystical ambience in half-light full of chiaroscuro, the decoration is original without being excessive and its menu, short but with character, delights all palates.

They have a short seasonal menu that changes according to the season. Everything is delicious, full of flavour and taste in every way. Very original and very friendly service. It is also dog-friendly.
Lobo López, the living room is a decorative gem.
